The 2X4 that landed on our 3rd story porch after it broke the window. Spliters inside bedroom prove. That board was soooooo heavy to lift off the porch. Boggles my mind how tornados work.
My husband (right) and his baby brother after removing most of the glass from inside the bedroom. I have loved living at our apartment complex but we were very upset to find that when we got back, these two units were the only two in the place that had not been boarded. We had to send his dad to get them to board it after they did not respond to my request. I guess short, blonde, and blue eyed is sometimes not very scary. Time to send in the big Irish Papa. :) Turns out we had several friends stop by the office asking them to board it for us. Unfortunate they left us out, we are lucky that we were out of the country when it happens but my heart breaks for all friends that had to live through the trauma. I have always loved living in our complex but now I am ready for a real house that is not in tornado alley of Tuscaloosa. All buildings around us in a semi-circle were flattened so we are very VERY lucky! RIP Krispy Kreme, Quik Pawn Shop, Jenny's Alterations, Milo's Hambergers, Full Moon Bar-b-que, Big Lots, Hobby Lobby, Tuesday Morning, Dollar General, Gas Station, and the Forest Lake Community. It is so strange to come out of the drive and be starring at blue sky instead of a historic lake subdivision.
